We have been asked to publicise a number of forthcoming (non-SMA) events, so here goes… 1. NEW SMA Monograph now available!
The latest SMA monograph to be published, the 37th in the series, is Maritime Societies of the Viking and Medieval World. This collection of 24 papers is edited by James H Barrett and Sarah Jane Gibbon and focuses on the Baltic, North and Irish Seas in the Viking Age (AD 790–1050) and early Middle Ages (AD 1050–1200), with a few later examples
New SMA Research Grant named in honour of Prof Mick Aston

IMPORTANT UPDATE on SMA Journal Vol. 59
Dear Society Members, We would like to update you on publication of volume 59 of Medieval Archaeology. This should have been sent out to Members by the end of November. Unfortunately there has been some delay in production at Routledge, Taylor & Francis. We are pleased to be able to reassure members that Volume 59
