Society for Medieval Archaeology Student Colloquium 2014: Call for Papers
We are excited to announce that the Call for Papers is now open for this year’s Student Colloquium. The colloquium will be held on 13th-15th November 2014, at Queen’s University Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The event aims to provide a platform for postgraduates and early career professionals to present and discuss their current research. This year’s event will also incorporate keynote lectures and a field-trip to medieval sites in south County Down.
Papers from across the medieval period (5th-16th centuries AD) from all geographical areas are welcomed, and to reflect the location of the Colloquium in Ireland, we are particularly interested in medieval archaeology from across Europe and the peripheral islands. Papers from subjects other than archaeology but which have a broader medieval significance will also be considered.
Abstracts of no more than 150 words should be sent to medieval.archaeology@googlemail.com. Please include ‘Student Colloquium Abstract’ in the subject line. The deadline for all paper and poster abstracts is Friday 5th September.
